Few good bus services from Ahmedabad to Mumbai

There may be some possible occasions where you really need to travel to Mumbai from Ahmedabad in urgency mode and you even do not find any reservations in Train or Buses. Even Railway Tatkal also did not help you, and finally you decide to go by General Coach of any train.

This generally happens on special festivals such as Diwali, Christmas etc. Even private tour operators charge you 1200 to 1500 Rs. for Non-AC seat and that also is not guaranteed that you will reach in 12 hours. I have seen some travels charging 2800 rs. per birth in Diwali.

Friends.... why should we pay this much or why should we think of going by general coach of railway in spite of having some really good bus services.

Let me give you brief detail of the same.

(1) GSRTC is providing daily bus servie (Gurjar Nagri) to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. They have 2 buses daily (i) Idar-Mumbai 4:00 PM and (ii) Vadnagar Mumbai 4:40 PM which will take you direct to Mumbai Central. Well if you want to go to Thane, dont worry there is a daily bus Khedbrahma-Mulund around 5:30 to 6:00 PM. What about reservation? Don't worry you can reserve it online same like railway by http://www.gsrtc.in/GSRTCOnline link. The charges are just Rs. 300 to 330. Though the bus has only sitting capacity but condition is really good. All the above buses are taking 12-13 hours to reach.

(2) RSRTC (Rajasthan) is providing a sleeper coach to Mumbai daily night at 10:30 PM. The route is Udaipur-Mumbai which passes through Ahmedabad daily. They charge around 300 Rs. for Sleeper birth. Again online reservation is possible on link: https://rsrtconline.rajasthan.gov.in/. This bus takes 10-11 hours to reach

I found all of the above buses almost with 0 reservations daily. It means very few people knows about this. So, next time if you want to travel in urgent mode and ready to compromize with your luxury, do not travel in general coach or try to give bribe to TC of Railway, try these buses.

Have a nice day. :)
